BodyICE® Woman Maternity Ice and Heat packs have been carefully designed to help soothe and support your perineum and breasts post childbirth and throughout breastfeeding. With two comfy breast gel-bead packs and a dependable perineum cooling pad, BodyICE Woman Maternity Care will provide cooling or warming relief in your most sensitive areas.

PERINEAL CARE

When heated, a perineal heat pack and can be effectively used during the 2nd stage of labour to help increase blood flow and soften the perineum to reduce the occurrence of perineal tearing and trauma during childbirth.

When frozen, this perineal cold pack provides soothing, cooling relief to the perineum which may be irritated, swollen and tender from childbirth. The perineum strip can also be used to ease pain and inflammation directly over a C-section scar, Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD), haemorrhoids and any vaginal surgery such as labiaplasty.

BREAST CARE

Our breast pads provide soothing relief from soreness associated with a number of breast-related ailments including breast surgery, breast feeding, blocked milk ducts, mastitis, engorgement and general soreness and aching that is sometimes experienced during menstruation.

Each BodyICE Woman breast pad has been designed to fit inside your bra and around your nipples working as either an ice pack or heat pack. Made from medical grade PVC and flexible non toxic gel-beads that allow the breast pack to conform and fit comfortably over your breasts and around your nipples. We recommend using the breast pack as a cooling pad when your breasts feel hot, engorged and inflamed and as a heat pack to encourage milk flow or for general aching and soreness. 

Every woman is different, so use our breast pads as hot or cold depending on what feels good for you.

2 x breast gel-bead pads and 2 x washable sleeves
1 x perineum gel-bead strip and 5 x washable sleeves

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Heat or cool the BodyICE® Woman range as per the following instructions.

COLD THERAPY

Place in freezer without sleeves for approximately 2 hours or submerge in icy water until desired temperature is achieved and use as postpartum cooling pads. 

HEAT THERAPY

Submerge in hot water without sleeves or microwave for the suggested times below. Heat in additional 5-second increments until desired temperature is achieved. Always test temperature before application.

• 700 Watt Microwave: 20 seconds

• 1000 Watt Microwave: 15 seconds

• 1200 Watt Microwave: 10 seconds

Slip on the protective, washable sleeves provided and place directly on breasts inside bra or directly on the perineal area. Apply for the medically recommended time of 15 minutes. Wait until the skin returns to normal temperature before reapplying.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Wash with warm soapy water. Hand wash the sleeves and air dry. Store away from sunlight.
